Reshape a bowler to form a trilby or stetson. Play it up and this can be really funny allegedly.
Grab the hat in any kind of outside grip. Swing it behind the back and grip it between the legs. Bash a line into the top of the crown and return the hat to the head. You can also turn down the front of the brim to make it a bit more convincing.
